| Dear WSF Friends
We hope you have begun the new year in health and happiness and
that you have experienced the first days with new peace and
energy.
Our joy increases every day in preparation of the 3rd
WSF World Spirit Forum. Joy because it promises to be a unique
and important WSF. In its third year of its existence the Forum
will lay several new stones for the making of a solid foundation
on which the WSF
World Spirit Forum
shall establish itself as a creative and flexible network and
platform.
Look forward to the event as a reader of our newsletter and
especially as a participant in the 3rd Forum:
-
to the continued development of the WSF

“What the bleep”
does Dr. Michael Laitman at the WSF World Spirit Forum?
Many of you may have seen the documentary film “What the bleep
do we know”, which became an insider tip within a short period
of time. Following the film the leading and world renowned
Kabbalah expert, Dr. Michael Laitman led a highly appraised
panel discussion with 4 bleep experts. At the 3rd WSF
World Spirit Forum Michael Laitman will speak on the topic
“Creating a new Civilization”. All those that cannot participate
at the Forum and those that want to prepare themselves should
take a look at Dr. Laitmans’
internet site.
The legendary Jane
Goodal will be in Arosa as member of the World Wisdom Council
Who hasn’t heard of her? Jane Goodall has become a living legend
as a primate researcher. Today, young scholars continue the work
of this behavioral scientist. In the year 2002 Jane Goodall was
declared a peace ambassador for the United Nations. She will be
a speaker and participate at the round tables at the forthcoming
WSF in her capacity as a member of the World Wisdom Council.

From Arosa to
Davos – a small step for Van Jones…
Van Jones, founder of the
EBC Ella Baker Center for Human
Rights
and Global Leader for Tomorrow in 2002, is a highly engaged
opposition leader against the abuse of human rights. Following
the WSF Jones will also participate at the
WEF World Economic Forum
in Davos. This sort of bridge heading between the two forums is
very pleasing to the WSF organizers and we are inclined to
believe that the WEF may one day be positively affected by the
spirit of the WSF. The WEF-initiator, Klaus Schwab, continues to
figure on top of the list of preferential guest speakers of
Sesto G. Castagnoli, founder of the WSF World Spirit Forum.
NEW – culture
projects at the WSF World Spirit Forum
For the first time a cultural project will be launched on the
occasion of the WSF World Spirit Forum which will not only
document the processes taking place at the Forum but also
interpret and enriches them with an own language. The
photographer,
Swen Nieder,
from Bielefeld will launch the project. Nieder walked down the
“pilgrim´s road to santiago” documenting his impressions on the
way with an camera obscura and publishing these in a fascinating
illustrated volume. The young photographer has developed a
concept especially for the 3rd WSF which is flexible
in the documentation of the processes taking place in Arosa and
allows an exciting presentation of the results.
It´s cold outside
(suggestion for participants at the WSF)
One of the highlights at the WSF is always the beautiful area
around Arosa and its many attractions. The organizing committee
has ordered snow! We are certain that apart from the fulfilling
days spent in the mutual working process in the World Parliament
of Spirituality and other working groups there will be occasion
to spend refreshing time in the crisp and clear air and enjoy
the panorama. In order that you may enjoy your recreational
activity outside to the fullest we strongly urge you to wear
warm clothing – cause it´s cold outside.
“Change who you
are” or “become whom you are”
For those who have not yet been encouraged by this Newsletter it
is strongly recommended to read an excerpt from the first
newsletter
of the World Spirit Youth Council.
Oran Cohan, founder and director of the Living Peace Foundation,
South Africa sums up in a very personalized manner what, in his
view, is the meaning for young, engaged people to participate at
the
World Spirit Forum
within the framework of the
World Spirit Youth Council.
A small excerpt:
“So be prepared for this trip to change who you are. Embrace the
change and allow the newness of the unknown to permeate your
experience. If you surrender to the adventure that this meeting
holds, you will become more than you can imagine or fathom right
now.” (Oran Cohen).
We would like to adhere to this statement. We wholeheartedly
look forward to meeting our WSF friends who will be with us in
15 days and appreciate all those that continue to monitor our
activities.
